We are collaborating with a leading AI research lab to enhance advanced AI systems by integrating deep expertise from the field of chemistry. This role centers on developing and evaluating AI models that can replicate real-world workflows across multiple chemistry subdomains, including organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate complex problems in chemistry across diverse subfields
- Assess AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, chemical reasoning, and relevance
- Provide detailed written feedback on problem sets, mechanisms, and solutions
- Work asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to refine and improve model performance
- Ensure academic rigor and scientific precision in all chemistry-related content used to train or evaluate AI systems
Ideal Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline from a top university
- Undergraduate degree completed in the U.S., UK, Canada, or Europe preferred
- Strong subject-matter expertise across core areas of chemistry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability
- Prior teaching, research, or publication experience is an advantage
Project Timeline
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Commitment: Part-time (~20 hours/week), with potential to extend to 40 hours/week
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — flexible working hours
Compensation & Contract
- Competitive hourly compensation ($65–$85 USD/hr)
- Independent contractor arrangement
